Minecraft PS4 Failed Certification As August Comes To A Close

It’s likely that Minecraft will be able to meet its August release window on PS4 after it failed Sony’s certification tests. It’s now back to the fixing board at 4J Studios. The team will need to submit the game for certification before it is released.

4J has been working on fixing bugs and squishing issues throughout the month, and not just in the PS4 version, but in the upcoming Xbox One and Vita releases too. We have reached out to the studio to confirm the delay and to determine if it will impact the PS4 version only or other platforms. All three ports are currently due for release this month.

Sony found some issues we need to fix during their final test of #MinecraftPS4 😦 We’re fixingit, but we’ll need to repeat the process.

– 4J Studios (@4JStudios), August 20 onwards, 2014. When they launch the market, the Xbox One or PS4 versions of Mojang’s popular game will be available for $20 on digital storefronts. LETRASTRADUCIDAS.COM of downloaded Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be allowed to upgrade to Xbox One and PS4 respectively for $5 – that offer will be valid for at least a year after the date of release. The new consoles will provide larger worlds and a greater draw distance than previous console releases.

In the case of the Vita version it’s cross-buy compatible with PS3 meaning that players who bought Minecraft on the console will get the handheld version for free, and new buyers can unlock the game on both PS3 and Vita. Similar to other ports, the price for grinding your pickaxe on Vita is $20.
